You don’t have to be on the front lines of a protest or at the head of a nonprofit to be an activist. Just living out and proud as a queer person is a form of activism: the personal is political.
That’s why we’re launching “The Queer 10,” an interview series that shines a spotlight on everyday queer people everywhere and the hard-earned wisdom they have to offer.
How does it work? “The Queer 10” is a list of ten simple questions. We schedule a time to chat. I ask the questions. You answer them. And we broadcast the interview as part of an episode of Bearded Fruit. We’ll also archive the individual interviews in a special place on our website.
Who can participate? Anyone queer person, anywhere. Everyone’s life story is important. And we’re happy to share every single story. So, you don’t have to be an artist, an activist, or a celebrity. Our community includes people of all stripes. So will “The Queer 10.”
Why should I participate? Because you count. Because your lived experience matters. Because your wisdom should be heard. Because we’re stronger when our voices are raised. Because nobody else can tell your story.
